Description

100% Riesling from Bloomer Creek s Auten Vineyard. The Bloomers harvested their Riesling during the second week of November in 2021 because of a relatively wet season in the Finger Lakes, delaying the ripening process. Once harvested, the grapes were crushed and left to soak with the skins for up to 7 days before pressing to small stainless steel tanks to begin fermentation.

The base wine was sweetened with a separate lot of skin-fermented Auten Riesling to complete fermentation in bottle. The resulting wine is exuberant and complex, balanced by great acidity and a slight bitterness from the skin contact. Non-disgorged, unfined, and unfiltered.
